SERVICES

I offer mixing, mastering, music production, composition and sound design for artists, film, TV and media productions. With a background as a composer, producer and mixer, I combine musical understanding with a hybrid studio workflow — working both in the box and with selected analog equipment.

  • Mixing

Hybrid mixing for songs, albums and media productions — combining digital precision with carefully selected analog equipment. I work across genres and have extensive experience mixing electronic, acoustic and orchestral music for film, TV and release.

  • Mastering

Mastering for digital release, streaming and distribution. The focus is on balance, dynamics, tone and translation — making sure the final master works well across different playback systems.

  • Vinyl Cutting and vinyl mastering

Preparation for vinyl and physical formats. Vinyl cutting will become part of the studio’s services in the future, with the aim of offering professional lacquer cutting and vinyl mastering in-house.

  • Production

Music production, arrangement and development of songs or musical ideas. With experience as both a composer and producer, I can contribute creatively and technically — from early sketches to finished productions.

  • Composer

Composition for film, TV, stage and other media. I work with electronic, acoustic and orchestral expressions, creating music that supports story, atmosphere and visual dramaturgy.

  • Sound design

Sound design and audio work for film, TV, stage and media productions. I create soundscapes, textures and musical elements that help build atmosphere, space and character.

MY WORK

My work spans artist projects, film, TV and media productions — from composition and production to final mix and mastering. Each project is approached with a focus on musical identity, dynamics, atmosphere and detail.

GEAR

A hybrid studio setup combining digital precision with carefully selected analog equipment. The studio includes RME and Benchmark conversion, analog summing, custom-built equipment, NTP compressors, Kongsberg/NRK-related outboard and a carefully tuned monitoring chain. Additional mixers and outboard equipment are available when needed.

Neumann AM131 Disc-Cutting Lathe

The studio is built around a restored Neumann AM131 disc-cutting lathe with its original Lyrec motor, a Neumann SA74 suspension and Ortofon DSS-series stereo cutterheads.

The cutting system uses a Neumann VG1 tube rack with two LV60 cutting amplifiers, an Ortofon STL-631 high-frequency limiter, and a modern FlokaSon Pitch18 system for precise pitch and groove-spacing control. The system is currently being prepared for professional vinyl mastering and lacquer cutting.

Benchmark AD & DA converters

High-quality AD/DA conversion for recording, mixing and mastering. The Benchmark converters provide a clean and precise signal path, preserving detail, dynamics and stereo image throughout the production process.

Superexact monitors

The studio uses SuperExact monitors as the main reference for mixing and mastering, powered by a Bryston amplifier. This provides a detailed and revealing listening environment, making it easier to make precise decisions about balance, depth, dynamics and stereo imaging.

Instruments & Synthesizers

The studio also includes a selection of acoustic and electronic instruments that can be used during production. This includes a Yamaha U1 acoustic piano, Moog Subsequent 37, Dave Smith Poly Evolver, Prophet-8, Korg MS-20, as well as a pair of rare custom-built modular synthesizers from the 1970s.

These instruments can be used to add organic character, analog texture, unique sound design elements and musical depth to a production.

Superexact monitors (backside)

Main studio monitors powered by a Bryston amplifier, featuring passive rear-mounted elements that contribute to natural low-frequency reproduction. Used as a precise reference for mixing and mastering, with a focus on detail, balance, dynamics and stereo imaging.

Tore Seem Seesam2 analog mixer

The studio uses a custom-built Tore Seem Seesam2 analog mixer as part of the hybrid mixing setup. This special version has been built with an external Tore Seem power supply to reduce noise in the signal path and preserve clarity during mixing.

Each microphone channel is fitted with additional Lars Lundahl transformers, in addition to the standard Lundahl transformers originally used in the channel strips. This makes the mixer a unique piece of equipment, adding depth, character and analog texture to the sound when needed.
